Chairman Randolph Koppa’s remarks at the May Monthly Meeting

In his opening remarks, Mr. Koppa emphasized several key points that were particularly relevant to the members present.

“The business community – both local and international – has witnessed increasing pressure, including what many describe as open attacks – not to mention physical confrontations.”

“Now is the time for the private sector to convince our, perhaps new, policy makers, and international partners to move in concert – to build on our recent successful mission, to continue the dialogue, and to demonstrative that Mongolia is a worthy, reliable investment destination. Raise serious questions about the stability of the business environment, not only, but also about the county’s reputation on the global stage.”

The discussion was moderated by Mr. Randolph Koppa, Chair of AmCham Mongolia, and featured a dynamic panel that included representatives from PwC, EY, Melville Erdenedalai, and EBRD. Additionally, U.S. Ambassador Richard Buangan addressed the attendees at the opening of the discussion.
