Welcome to our 2025 kick-off meeting "2025 and Beyond: Mongolia's Outlook" part of the monthly meeting series, where we discuss current affairs and challenges. Mongolia's economic stability remains closely tied to its relations with neighboring countries and its capacity to export commodities in significant quantities. Furthermore, the potential return of a Trump administration introduces additional uncertainties surrounding U.S. relations with China and Russia, which may have implications for the Mongolian economy. Although the Parliament has approved a deficit-free budget for 2025, the coalition government’s ambitious mega projects will necessitate considerable financing in the coming years.
