AmCham Mongolia’s New Board Holds Inaugural Meeting
The newly elected AmCham Board under the leadership of the new Chairman James A. Liotta - convened the the first meeting to review the strategic directions and priorities for 2026 policy interventions to promote private sector-led, "High Trust Economy" in Mongolia.
During the opening meeting of the newly formed Board, Chairman James Liotta emphasized "Mongolia’s resources are enduring, and its future remains bright. But as leaders, our focus must shift from celebrating static facts to mastering dynamic challenges. Our mission this year is clear: to dedicate ourselves to building the High-Trust Economy."
In 2026, AmCham's Roadmap for Growth will champion three core priorities:
1. Mandate a Stable System: We will relentlessly advocate for clear legal pathways and transparent regulatory timelines to eliminate the political and legal risks currently driving capital away.
2. Build Economic Resilience: We will leverage the strength of the U.S.–Mongolia Third Neighbor Partnership to fortify crucial trade and digital corridors, and drive investment.
3. Champion the Private Sector: We will elevate our members as the High-Trust Solution – the true engine for jobs, innovation, and sustainable, long-term growth.
During its inaugural meeting, the Board of Directors unanimously elected Ms. Soyol-Erdene to the leadership position of Vice-Chair of AmCham Mongolia. She currently serves as COO of MSM Group, a diversified company and market leader engaged in automotive, industrial, and beverage distribution, representing leading global brands in Mongolia since 1998. She is a graduate of Boston University, #USA.
At the end of the meeting, Chairman James Liotta and Executive Director Adiya Oyungerel congratulated the new board members and wished them great success during their terms.
