2024 Annual Roundtable Discussion: "Real Estate Market Development"
On December 20, AmCham Mongolia successfully hosted its annual roundtable discussion on "Real Estate Market Development," bringing together representatives from the government, NGOs, and the private sector. Key participants included representatives from the FRC, MCUD, the U.S. Embassy in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, Mongolian Mortgage Corporation, Umbrella Association, RE/MAX Mongolia, RE/MAX Platin, Hanguud Properties, and Real Estate Academy. The discussion centered on the challenges and opportunities within Mongolia’s real estate market, emphasizing the roles and commitments of various stakeholders in driving industry growth.
Participants focused on three critical areas:
· Access to Government Real Estate Data: Enhancing agents’ and brokers’ access to essential real estate data systems.
· Licensing Regulations: Assessing the benefits and challenges of the current regulatory framework.
· KYC and Compliance Issues: Exploring solutions to compliance and client identification challenges.
The roundtable fostered meaningful dialogue among key industry players, laying the groundwork for collaborative ways to advance the real estate sector in Mongolia.
