ICT & Digital Economy Committee convenes its kick-off meeting of the year
The Digital Economy and ICT Committee convened for its first meeting of the year at AmCham's office. Mr. Manduul Baasansuren from ONDO.brand was elected as the new Chair of the Committee.
The meeting included dynamic discussions among committee members on a range of important topics. Members highlighted their significant achievements and outlined their planned activities for the year ahead. They are closely monitoring developments in specific legislation, relevant regulations, and reforms, particularly concerning Digitalization and AI. The committee has pledged to maintain their dialogue through AmCham to promote collaborative efforts in addressing legal challenges.
Additionally, members contributed their insights for AmCham's forthcoming monthly meeting scheduled for March 11, which will focus on the theme “Preparing for the AI Wave.” The formulation of a national AI strategy in Mongolia is gaining momentum amid intensifying global competition in AI development. Areas of interest include the legislative framework governing the industry and the execution of the strategies.
